A good rule of thumb is: if it can go in your regular trash can, it can usually go in the dumpster. However, we encourage recycling whenever possible, materials like cardboard, paper, and metal should be sorted and recycled if that is an option.
Acceptable Items:
Most non-hazardous materials can be disposed of in a dumpster, including:
✔ Household Waste – General trash, old clothes, and non-hazardous items.
✔ Bulky Furniture – Couches, tables, chairs, mattresses (check for local restrictions).
✔ Construction Debris – Wood, drywall, siding, flooring, and roofing materials.
✔ Yard Waste – Tree branches, grass clippings, leaves, and other organic debris.
✔ Appliances – Refrigerators, washers, dryers, and stoves, as long as they do not contain freon, oils, or other hazardous fluids.
All hazardous materials are strictly prohibited from being disposed of in a dumpster. These materials can be toxic, pose serious safety hazards, or require special handling to ensure environmental compliance.
Prohibited Items:
❌ Wet Paint & Solvents – Paints, stains, and varnishes should be properly disposed of or recycled.
